Hi KongKing,

By any chance, you run this on a Win2008 server?

Please make sure you use the "run as administrator" option (in the right-click context menu).

Once you try that please report back here and let me know if it solved it or if you still have trouble.

Thanks!

I'm having the same issue.

I've tried logging in with three different accounts, all with the same results: our domain Admin account, the SP Admin account, and the SP Farm account. The latter two are also domain accounts and SP Admin is a local admin on the server itself.

Any suggestions/ideas? Being able to get this working would save me a ton of time.

I am receiving this issue as well while running as an administrator account.  Please advise.

Hi guys,

Sorry to see this tool is giving you grief, I built a new version purely for 2010. Version 1.0.17, which is not compatible with SP2007.

Could you give it a go on your systems and let me know if it is working?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, I need to use this for 2007. Is there an older version available for download that can be used?

Hi Larry,

good news, I guess...

2 things, please:
  1. Can you please either send plain text messages to the discussion, or just post directly on the site? your emails come off very hard to read (html decoded), also - if you could remove your signature it would be better.
  2. to the issue at hand: try breaking it to 2 different replace jobs:
one will replace http://server1 with http://server2
the other will replace relative URLs (if you need to), like: /sites/site1 with /sites/site2
let me know if it works.
Feb 6, 2013 at 12:16 PM
Sorry about the HTML messages :)

As for issue #2, it's not possible. The URL that I need to replace has a server that is referenced in many other sites/subsites. We're trying to replace a global issue on all sites, and using this method would break many other things.

What type of Search/Replace is being used? If it were RegEx, this would be very easy to handle.

Thanks,
Larry

Shia- Has there been any motion on this? I've also noticed another user with the same issue: http://spfnr.codeplex.com/workitem/33699

Thank you, Larry

Hello,
I only see one installer which I'm guessing is for 2010 because I get an error on installation in 2007. Can you please point me to the 2007 installer?

Thanks
